Grammy winning record producer, engineer, mixer, and musician Noah Georgeson began his career as a solo artist and a member of The Pleased alongside Joanna Newsom, and is best known for his extensive work with Devendra Banhart. Georgeson has produced four of Banhart’s albums, including co-writing a number of the songs, and he frequently tours as a member of his band. Banhart’s 2013 album Mala, produced by Georgeson, reached #2 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.
Georgeson’s production credits also include the self-titled album from super group Little Joy (the collaboration of Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti, Los Hermanos’ Rodrigo Amarante, and Binki Shapiro) as well as Bert Jansch's The Black Swan (Drag City). He went on to work with Moretti again in 2011 when he mixed the Strokes’ Angles (RCA). Next, Georgeson co-produced and mixed Cate Le Bon's critically acclaimed Mug Museum (Wichita), mixed English singer & songwriter Lou Rhodes' album The Yes and I (Strata), and produced and mixed Adam Green & Binki Shapiro's self titled album (Concord). He also co-produced and engineered several songs on Natalia Lafourcade's Latin Grammy-winning album Mujer Divina, Homenaje a Agustin Lara (Sony Music). Shortly thereafter, Georgeson produced and mixed tracks for Dispatch frontman Chadwick Stokes' solo album The Horse Comanche (Ruff Shod) and mixed an album for Tree Top Flyers (Partisan).
Last year, Georgeson mixed and co-wrote Lena Fayre's latest EP Is There Only One?, as well as produced, engineered and mixed UK artist Flo Morrissey's debut album Tomorrow Will Be Beautiful (Glassnote), and worked on the new album Crab Day (Drag City) for Cate Le Bon. Recently Noah produced, engineered, and mixed Devendra Banhart's ninth studio album Ape In Pink Marble (Nonesuch). Georgeson also mixed iLe’s debut album “iLevitable” (Sony Music Latin), for which he won a 2017 Grammy Award in the category of “Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album”. Noah is currently producing, engineering, and mixing the debut album for Melbourne-based band The Royal Parks. He is also currently nominated for mixing Andy Shauf’s “The Party” (ANTI-) in three categories for the 2017 JUNO Awards (Canada’s Music Awards). Georgeson will be performing as part of the West-Coast band with long-time collaborator Devendra Banhart on tour beginning January 23rd, 2017.
