American jazz & gospel singer Lizz Wright has released the first single from her forthcoming album Grace (Concord Music Group). The single, “Seems I’m Never Tired Loving You”, is Carolyn Franklin’s classic ballad and Wright brings gospel elements to her interpretation with organ and mass choir. GPS client Ryan Freeland mixed and engineered all 10 songs on the album, which was produced by Joe Henry. Jewly Hight of NPR says of the song: “There’s a profound ampleness to Wright’s performance, set off by a churchly choir assembled by her longtime pianist, Kenny Banks. She makes herself fully present to the song’s tender sentiment, luxuriating in her phrasing, rounding her tone with openness and equanimity.” Grace comes out September 15th via Concord Records.
