Bush is known for his extensive work with multi-platinum rock band Garbage. In addition to producing, engineering and mixing records for Garbage, Bush joins the band on tour to help reconcile their technological needs with their live performance. The result has pushed the boundaries of, and blurred the lines between live performance and recorded music.
As a mixer, Bush’s credits include Jake Bugg’s Shangri La (Virgin/Mercury), The Naked & Famous’s Passive Me, Aggressive You (Fiction), Snow Patrol’s single “In The End” from Fallen Empires (Polydor), and Neon Trees’ Picture Show, including the hit single “Everybody Talks”. He also engineered and mixed The Naked and Famous’s song “Following Morning” appearing on the Dallas Buyers Club soundtrack. Also an accomplished producer, Bush produced, engineered, and mixed both Fink’s Perfect Darkness (Ninja Tune)and Hard Believer (Ninja Tune), French band Superbus’ Sunset (Polydor France), and The Boxer Rebellion’s Promises (Absentee).
In 2014, Bush mixed Angus and Julia Stone’s self-titled album (American/ Republic) including the single “Grizzly Bear”, and the Kaiser Chiefs single “My Life” (Fiction). He went on to produce, engineer, and mix tracks from Grizfolk’s new album Waking Up the Giants (Virgin), as well as the newest album Ocean By Ocean from London-based band The Boxer Rebellion (Absentee). In 2016 Bush engineered, mixed, and contributed additional production on the newest Garbage album, Strange Little Birds, alongside Garbage drummer, Butch Vig.
More recently, Bush produced, engineered and mixed Slothrust’s album The Pact (Dangerbird); engineered, mixed, and contributed additional production to Garbage’s single “No Horses”; and mixed Openside’s Push Back (Warner Music NZ), Vikings’ Animal Kingdom (Head In The Sand) and Willa Amai’s latest single “Harder Better Faster Stronger”(We Are Hear). Bush has become the go-to mixer for producer Linda Perry.
