09 Feb Flora Recording & Playback- Tucker Martine Studio
Grammy nominated producer, engineer, mixer and GPS client Tucker Martine has completed building the newest incarnation of his Flora Recording & Playback studio. Housed in a former motorcycle club clubhouse, it’s a 2500 square foot building in Northeast Portland, Oregon. The studio features a spacious live room, an incredibly capable control room, four isolation rooms of various sizes all with great sight lines to one another, a reverb chamber, floating floors, phenomenal acoustics, lots of natural light and an impressive gear list.
In his 25 plus years of recording music, Martine has worked with My Morning Jacket, Modest Mouse, The Decemberists, Sufjan Stevens, Gregory Alan Isakov, REM,Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Beth Orton, Bill Frisell, Mt. Joy, Whitney, Spoon, Neko Case, Grandaddy, Death Cab for Cutie, Mavis Staples, Laura Veirs, Camera Obscura, Jim James, k.d. lang, Iron and Wine, The Jayhawks and many others.
