Congratulations to GPS clients Greg Fidelman, Mark Rankin, Larry Klein, Dave O’Donnell, Michael Brauer, and Vance Powell.
Metallica was nominated for Best Rock Album of the year for 72 Seasons, as well as Best Rock Performance: “Lux AEterna” and Best Metal Performance: 72 Seasons. Greg Fidelman produced, engineered and mixed the album.
Queens of the Stone Age also got a nomination for Best Rock Album for In Times New Roman, which was mixed by Mark Rankin. Rankin was nominated last year for his work on Spoon’s Lucifer On The Sofa.
Larry Klein was nominated for his work on the album Cometa, from Luciana Souza & Trio Corrente. Cometa is nominated for Best Latin Jazz Album.
In the Best Contemporary Blues Album category, Bettye LaVette was nominated for her album LaVette! which was engineered and mixed by Dave O’Donnell.
Next is the nomination for Best Historical Album for Bob Dylan’s Fragments: Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series, Vol. 17. Michael Brauer mixed the album.
Last on the GPS list is multiple Grammy Award winner, Vance Powell. He engineered and mixed Chris Stapleton’s single “White Horse” which received a nominated for Best Country Solo Performance.
