Parish is a record producer, songwriter, and guitarist based in Nashville, best known as the lead guitarist for Cage the Elephant. Parish co-wrote and played guitar on albums Cage the Elephant (Relentless), Thank You Happy Birthday (Jive), and 2015 Grammy Award Nominee for “Best Alternative Album” Melophobia (RCA), including the No. 1 single “Come A Little Closer”. Parish left the band in 2013 to build his Nashville recording studio Talk Box Rodeo where he currently produces, writes and develops artists full-time.
Parish’s work includes producing and writing Canadian rockers Ten Minute Detour’s Common Pleasure, mixing Hillary William’s Lucky Scars EP, and co-producing, co-writing, and playing on country duo Rivers and Rust’s album Welcome To The Show (Tennessee Recording Company). He also frequently collaborates with American Idol alum Paul McDonald, and works regularly on music for film and TV. Carrollton’s “Made For This”, produced and mixed by Parish, was featured in the Winter Olympics as well as a number of other placements. Most recently Parish produced and mixed Lilly Hiatt’s Walking Proof (New West) which was released to critical praise and debuted at #2 on the album sales chart.
